Atlanta Falcons Week Ten Grades Vs Cleveland
Defensive Player of the Game
Brooks Reed – Defensive End
The game against Cleveland was a topsy-turvy one. That’s evident by that fact that many of the typical strong performers failed to produce, and many of the top producers for the game were a surprise. Our defensive player of the game definitely fits the bill as surprise.
Brooks Reed who is known as more of a run defender, saw 25 snaps against the run heavy Browns. This tied him for the most amongst Falcons edge defenders and second on the defensive line.
Brooks Reed had just two tackles for the game both solo. One of the tackles stopped Cleveland running back Nick Chubb for no gain. His value was far more that just two tackles though.
Reed held his own for Atlanta on the edge. He never allowed a runner to break contain on his side, earning him a run defense grade of 77.1.
Brooks Reed also forced a fumble in the game. In the passing game Reed had a hurry in just 11 snaps. He won a lot more than that as a pass rusher, but Baker Mayfield was very quick releasing ball.
PFF gave give an outstanding pass rush grade of 91.7. That should earn him more snaps in the Dirty Birds’ pass rush rotation.
