The Atlanta Falcons are in a terrible position, one where they must attempt to run the table to put themselves back into contention. Can Atlanta win out starting tonight against New Orleans?

Thanksgiving is here but for the Atlanta Falcons, today there is no holiday. Instead, it is a last gasp for the Falcons as they attempt to string together a winning streak.

Sitting at 4-6 on the season with 6 games remaining Atlanta must attempt to run the table to put themselves in a position to be in the playoffs.

With tonight’s game against New Orleans that will be no small feat for a Falcons team who cannot make the one play that counts.

Whether it is a late score or a late stop Atlanta never seems to come up clutch. There is always an excuse always a circumstance that keeps Atlanta from making a big play when they need it the most.

Running the table is going to mean beating good teams like the Saints in close games. Two things Atlanta seems to be incapable of.

Winning out is possible with the amount of talent Atlanta has on their roster, but it won’t happen. The coaching staff and roster cannot make enough big calls or plays late, to win games.

Thanksgiving for the Falcons is unlikely to leave their fans much to be thankful for in what is going to be a lost season. A season that has been lost not just to injury but to an incapability to make the one play they need the most.

Tonight in New Orleans is Atlanta’s last dying gasp of hope for their season. Winning tonight would keep hope alive in Atlanta. Another loss ends the Falcons season as the focus will shift to getting a higher draft pick. Where Atlanta should have their focus now as their season is all but over.
