Atlanta Falcons Offense: Week 12 Grades Vs New Orleans
Low Flying Atlanta Falcons: Offense
Wes Schweitzer – Left Guard
Offensive line play will highlight this list, as the front five was Atlanta’s worse unit as a whole on Thanksgiving Night. Wes Schweitzer certainly played his role in the bad performance. PFF gave him the lowest run blocking grade on the team at 48.3.
Wes Schweitzer wasn’t much better in the passing game. He allowed two pressures, both hurries on Matt Ryan. His pass blocking grade was 63.9.
Schweitzer was the blocker on Matt Ryan’s interception. He failed to occupy the defenders hands allowing Tyeler Davison to tip the pass up in the air.
Wes Schweitzer has failed to play at a high level for the better part of two seasons. He is running out of chances to prove he is NFL starting material.

ATL All Day Grade: D
Ryan Schraeder – Right Tackle
Right tackle Ryan Schraeder continues our theme of underperforming blockers. He was the second Atlanta Falcons offensive lineman to allow an unimaginable four quarterback pressures. Schraeder allowed two hurries, a hit and gave up a sack to defensive end Cam Jordan.
Pro Football Focus gave Schraeder a pass blocking grade of 51.6, second worse of the linemen on the squad. The only thing that brought his overall grade up was the fact that he had the highest run blocking grade. That’s not saying much though, as it was still only 61.7.
Ryan Schraeder is having an uncharacteristically down season. Currently he is posting the worse overall grade since his rookie season and ranks as tackle number 48. He typically ranks in the top 15.
If Ryan is injured, he should just sit out and heal at this point. If not he needs to correct any technical flaws. The Falcons are only going to be able to fill so many holes in the offseason. They need Schraeder to return to his previous form.

Mention
Alex Mack received a middle of the pack grade for this game at 60.5. It has to be noted that he also allowed two hurries on Matt Ryan in this lackluster performance by the Atlanta offensive line.
