Andrew Thomas – Left Tackle

The Georgia Bulldogs offensive line played a near flawless game and sophomore left tackle was the leader of the unit against GA Tech. He held his own in the passing game and also helped pave the way for the Dawgs to rush for 285 yards on 42 carries. That’s a robust 6.8 yards per touch.

Andrew Thomas receives a Dawg Bone for anchoring the dominant UGA offensive line.

Isaiah Wilson – Right Tackle

Right tackle Isaiah Wilson out of Brooklyn, New York, has played well for the Dawgs all year-long and that continued against their in state rival GA Tech. Not only did he contribute to the Dawgs big day on the ground, he was part of a unit that did not allow one single sack of quarterback Jake Fromm.

In total the Dawgs blocking paved the way for UGA to rack up 447 yards and score six touchdowns. Isaiah Wilson gets a Dawg Bone for his contribution to that blocking.

D’Andre Swift – Running Back

As mentioned the Georgia Bulldogs chewed up 285 yards on the ground. Sensational sophomore running back D’Andre Swift led the ground attack with 105 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. That’s an explosive 7.5 yards per carry. His longest run was 28 yards.

The 100 yard game against the Yellow Jackets, marked marked the fourth straight 100  game against a power five opponent for D’Andre Swift, and the fourth in five games overall. He only carried the ball nine times in the blowout win over U Mass, and failed to crack the 100 yard barrier.

Surprisingly, D’Andre Swift didn’t catch a pass against GA Tech. Georgia wide receivers did so well at creating separation that Fromm rarely had to check down. Swift wasn’t one of the top five graded players on the UGA offense by PFF, we at ATL All Day award him a Dog Bone anyway.

Elijah Holyfield – Running Back

Elijah Holyfield is the thunder of the Georgia Bulldogs thunder and lightning running back duo. He often runs the tough yards between the tackles while teammate D’Andre Swift does most of his work on the perimeter.

Holyfield was able to turn some of the between the tackles runs, into explosive gains for the Dawgs against the Yellow Jackets. He ran the ball just nine times but gained a whopping 79 yards and scored a touchdown. Holyfield gained 8.8 yards per clip.

Elijah Holyfield had a long gain of 38 yards in the contest. His touchdown came on an eight yard run in the second quarter that gave Georgia a 35-7 advantage. Holyfield  made the most of his nine carries in this past weeks rivalry game. He gets a Dog Bone from ATL All Day for his efficient play.

Overall it was a banner day for the Dawgs offense. The one thing that could definitely be improved upon is the fact that UGA was just 2/6 on 3rd down. That was rendered less significant by the fact that Georgia converted 2/2 fourth down attempts. However that’s a dangerous way to live and is not advised against number one Alabama.

Speaking of Alabama that is the upcoming opponent for UGA in the SEC title game. The two teams will meet in a rematch of last season’s National Championship game. ATL All Day will have more on the win over Tech and the upcoming SEC Championship Game vs Alabama.
