2. A Defense First Team, Full of Former Georgia Bulldogs

For Atlanta Falcons fans who also pull for their home state Dawgs the Chicago Bears will be the team to pull for in the NFC. The Bears have a number of former Bulldogs on their roster including last year’s hero Roquan Smith.

The Bears lack a clear franchise star or a well known coach, they are simply a group of well coached players who play as one.

Watching the Bears this year it is clear how well coached they are and how good their defense is. They are built around a pass rush that will tear any offensive line in the League apart.

Adding Khalil Mack was a genius move for a team who now sits in the top four teams in the NFC. Mack is a star player who quietly does his job and has helped put his team in a great position to win in the playoffs.

The old saying “defense wins championships” has hints of truth in it, as important as defense is this team will only go as far as their young quarterback can carry them.

The Bears are one of the few teams capable of taking down the rival New Orleans Saints or the hated Dallas Cowboys making them a perfect choice to pull for in the playoffs.
