The Atlanta Hawks will attempt to start a winning streak, when they travel to New York and square off against the Knicks. The Knicks are led in scoring on the season by former Hawk Tim Hardaway Jr. The two teams will meet on Friday December 21.

The 2018-19 NBA season is a season of development for the Atlanta Hawks. No matter the win-loss record, getting the opportunity to witness the growth and development of young players such as Kevin Huerter, Trae Young and John Collins is exciting as a Hawks fan.

I am very intrigued to see the full team when sharp shooting forward Taurean Prince returns from his ankle injury. Rookie forward Omari Spellman is also an interesting prospect who is out with a hip injury.

As Trae Young, Kevin Huerter, John Collins and Omari Spellman continue to develop, it instills more and more confidence in the Atlanta Hawks fan base. As each game goes by, I believe more and more that General Manager Travis Schlenk is the man to build a championship contending team here through the draft. He’s certainly proved he knows what to do with pick number 19.
