Todd Gurley and Sony Michel are both headed to the Super Bowl in Atlanta and Georgia Bulldogs fans couldn’t be happier. Both running backs were stars with the Dawgs and now are taking their talent to the biggest stage.

While there are multiple Georgia Bulldogs alum taking part in the big game one week from Sunday, none more exciting than Todd Gurley and Sony Michel. Gurley has become a star with the Rams, helping ignite one of the best offenses in football.

Gurley is one of the most memorable Georgia players in the last decade. Any time he touched the ball the Dawgs felt as if they had a chance to score.

He has taken that same skill set into the NFL and has had four successful NFL seasons. He will forever be remembered as one of the best running backs ever to take the field in Athens.

Sony Michel had a less notable career, but played in bigger games then Gurley in his college career  and along with Nick Chubb carried the Dawg’s offense to the title game.

Now Michel will be playing in the Super Bowl for the New England Patriots. It would be surprising not to see plenty of Dawg’s fans at the game.

Gurley and Michel are both big pieces of what the Bulldogs have done over the last decade. Both left their mark at the college level and will now have the chance to win at the highest level.

Michel has had a great run through the playoffs scoring five touchdowns in the Patriot’s wins so far. Gurley meanwhile has struggled and will be looking to bounce back and give the Rams a spark in the Super Bowl.

Both running backs will have a huge impact on how the games go and whether their offenses can have a balanced attack.  No question Georgia fans have plenty to cheer for when the NFL season finale kicks off on February 3rd.
