The Atlanta Hawks rebuild appears to be nearing its end. With young talent and a top draft pick this off-season Atlanta could be a single move away from returning to the playoffs.

The Atlanta Hawks haven’t been anything close to an interesting location for free agents to consider in a very long time. This could change this off-season with an ever improving young core. A city with no shortage of an exciting culture and warm weather nearly year around.

Atlanta is a great city, the basketball team however, has been far from great. Being stuck in mediocrity is what prompted the Hawks latest rebuild. A rebuild that has Atlanta positioned to turn themselves into a contender this off-season.

While many fans may still believe the Hawks to be a year away they could up their timetable landing a top free agent. Pairing the right free agent with this year’s top draft pick the Hawks would take a leap forward putting themselves back into conference contention.

The top teams in the East will all face at least one star hitting free agency this off-season. Meaning the power could easily shuffle around in the East. Leaving the Hawks the chance to become contenders with any one of these five moves.
