3. Sign a Star Who Feels the Need to be “The Man”  Jimmy Butler?

More and more stars are joining forces in the NBA creating super teams in what are now top heavy conferences. Few players are bucking this trend but those who do are doing so because they want to be the unquestioned leader.

This isn’t a negative quality only a inevitable one in a League full of athletes with healthy levels of self confidence. Jimmy Butler could choose to pick his own team considering the challenges he has faced over the last year.

Picking a team with low drama and up-and-coming talent will be what Butler is looking for if he doesn’t stay in Philly. He would fit perfectly into Atlanta’s system offering another scorer and a tough lock down defender.

Butler is good player who would offer Atlanta leadership and experience while still allowing the young players to lead the offense. Butler isn’t a player who has to have the ball in his hands and would fit with John Collins and Trae Young.

Jimmy Butler coming to Atlanta may simply be a pipe dream, but it is a move Atlanta must explore this off-season.
