The  Atlanta Braves offseason has been uneventful, to say the least. The team looked poised to be big spenders after going on a surprise playoff run last season, but that has yet to be the case. That doesn’t mean there aren’t moves to be made before Opening Day.

There are still free agents on the market that can improve this team. The Atlanta Braves need to improve their team if they want to be more than a playoff contender. The team, as constructed today, is good enough to get the playoffs. If the Braves want to contend for a World Seris title, this team needs to do more.

With money to spend and a loaded farm system, the Braves are in perfect position to pull off a big move. It’s just a matter of what the Braves are willing to do.

The fact they have remained so quiet in free agency and the trade market hasn’t been popular with their fan base. Big moves were expected this off-season and the Braves made few sticking with their current roster.

A roster that is going to need more help if they truly want a chance to bring a championship to Atlanta. There are still plenty of options to improve both on the free agent market and in potential trades.

Here are five moves the Braves should make before Opening Day:
