5. Give the Team a Potential Explosive Weapon in De’Anthony Thomas

Justin Hardy is on the market, so that means the Falcons are down a kick returner and 4th wide receiver. The Falcons don’t seem in any rush to bring back Hardy, so could Thomas be an option for the Falcons.

Thomas, who has been in Kansas City, started his career as the kick and punt returner, but has since been used less with the emergence of the dynamic Tyrek Hill. Thomas is still a guy who can burn down the field.

And after the lackluster season for Hardy, the Falcons look to be interested in changing up at that role. Thomas is a guy who the Falcons can get for cheap. That’s something vital for this team this offseason.

The Falcons might be more interested in finding their new kick returner in the late rounds of the draft, but if the team can lock up Thomas before the draft, that problem would be solved.

Next. Braves Off-season Targets. dark

This is the ultimate gamble on Thomas, but if the Falcons hit on it they’ll look like geniuses. And if it doesn’t work out, Thomas and Atlanta can go their separate ways. No harm, no foul. Thomas is a sneaky, cheap option the Falcons should be keeping an eye on.
