Julio Jones Takes a Step Back in an Injury Marred 2013 Season

2013 Stats- 51-Receptions-580 Yards-2 TD’s

Nothing about the 2013 season was easy for Julio Jones or the Atlanta Falcons. Jones only played in five games fighting injuries and perhaps that was for the better. The Falcons were completely dismal going from Super Bowl contender to the bottom of the NFC.

It was a lost season for Jones and the Falcons. Highlights are rare from this season, and what Jones best catch was in 2013 may have been the fact he didn’t have to waste more mileage on his body in a lost year.

There was also an 81-yard touchdown against the St. Louis Rams that was pretty cool. But just like most of the 2013 season, it was a frustrating exercise in what could have been for a team coming off of an NFC Championship loss.

The sooner we stop looking back at 2013 and thinking about Mike Smith’s sandals and lack of ability to coach this team the better. So on to the next highlight in our countdown.
