The Best Catch of Julio Jones’ Career in My Completely Biased Opinion
2015 Stats-136 receptions-1,871 YD’s-8 TD’s
When I think of Julio Jones this is the first play that comes into my mind. Admittedly this is perhaps not his best catch but it is without a doubt my favorite and the best play of his 2015 season. The season the Panthers were looking to go undefeated.
The Panthers were the NFL’s favorite team and the Falcons were shaking off six-game losing streak including a 38-0 drubbing from the Panthers.
This game was decided before it happened and the Falcons were expected to drop their 7th game out of their last eight.
Instead, the Falcons would win this one 20-13 ruining the Panther’s hopes of a perfect season. There was no bigger contributor in this game than Julio Jones including this amazing catch.
Luke Kuechly and the Panther’s safety both were no match for Julio as he shoves the safety aside before going over the top of Kuechly snatching the ball and running in for the score.
This is without a doubt my favorite Julio plays and one that never gets old. Forget one-handed catches how about outrebounding the best linebacker in football and running in for the score.
