Ronald Acuna Jr. will be with the Atlanta Braves for a long time to come after signing a deal with Atlanta that will span nearly a decade. Though the deal was massive it might turn out to be a bargain for Atlanta.

The Atlanta Braves signed Ronald Acuna Jr. to a $100-million dollar deal that will span all the way until 2028.  The move is a bold one considering how little Major League experience Acuna has. But it was the right move to make for Atlanta.

It isn’t hard to see that Acuna is one of the most talented hitters in all of baseball. He is a true five-tool player and looks on track to be the next Mookie Betts or Mike Trout.  With this in mind, the longer Atlanta waited to sign him the higher the price tag would be.

Though it is a massive deal it will likely end up being a bargain for the Braves who rarely sign large contracts.

Acuna is an obvious exception who will help keep Atlanta relevant in the years to come. This contract announcement should help some of the outrage coming from Braves country after a quiet off-season and a terrible 0-3 start.

This is a great move for Atlanta who has had a rough start to their season. This move is easily a slam dunk that will be looked back on as a bargain for Atlanta. Though it doesn’t hurt Acuna at all either considering he is yet to play a full season.

Yet to play a full season and already has an eight-year $100-million+ commitment from Atlanta. This is a deal that is a huge win for both sides and will keep the Braves from having to go through arbitration with the young phenom.

For at least a day everything is good again in Braves country.  Acuna is in Atlanta to stay and help bring back baseball relevance for the Braves.
