Josh Donaldson’s bat is finally coming alive for the Atlanta Braves after a slow start for the third baseman. His recent hot streak is coming at the right time for a team who needs all of the offense they can muster.

The Atlanta Braves young season is off to an interesting start with Ender Inciarte struggling and the Braves pitching staff consistently being inconsistent. The only bright spot for the Braves has been an offense that never says die.

They keep fighting and keep Atlanta in games even when the pitching is miserable. Donaldson had been one exception to this struggling early on for Atlanta. His struggles were due to bad luck and a few AB’s in Spring Training.

Donaldson is starting to get back up to speed, however, and will help the Braves have one of the scariest lineups in baseball. When healthy (and when Inciarte is on the bench) there isn’t one easy out in this Braves lineup.

Josh Donaldson is an MVP caliber player who is finally starting to get hot for Atlanta. Hitting the ball with authority while maintaining a patient approach at the plate.

His production will give the Braves one of the best middles of the order combos in all of baseball. His power has been impressive knocking in runs and gathering three extra-base hits in the last two games.

For Josh, this is a welcome sight considering his struggles for the first two weeks of the season. Despite remaining patient at the plate a bit of rust and bad luck had Donaldson off to a slow start.

Despite Atlanta’s impressive offense they must consider adding a to a rotation and bullpen full of question marks. Atlanta is unable to get outs consistently and continues to hand out walks with alarming frequency.   It is time for Atlanta to make a move and give the strong lineup support they badly need.
