NFL Combine Performance

Christian Wilkins measured 6’3″ and weighed in at 315 pounds at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine. His arms measure at 32.5 inches, which is fairly short for a defensive tackle. His hand size is average, measuring 9¾ inches. Christian displayed decent strength at the event, lifting 225 pounds 28 times on the bench press. This ties him for number nine among defensive linemen and third among first round defensive tackle prospects. He trailed his teammate Dexter Lawrence, as well as Ed Oliver of Houston, who we broke down in this writing.

Christian Wilkins displayed a 29.5 in vertical leap, ranking number 20 among defensive line prospects. In the broad jump Wilkins leaped 107 inches, ranking him number 22 in his position group. Both jumps were unimpressive, showing a lack of explosion. In the 20 yard shuttle Wilkins ranked number 15, with a time of 4.55 seconds. In the 40 yard dash Wilkins finished in a tie for number 14, running the race in 5.04 seconds. That’s a solid time for a man his size but just one on hundredth of a second faster than his teammate Dexter Lawrence, who weights 342 pounds.
