The Atlanta Falcons are fine tuning their draft boards in preparation for the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft, that commences on Thursday April 10th. Cornerback depth is certainly a need for Atlanta. The team has shown that they will draft the best available player that does fit a need, even it’s not necessarily their top need. Andraez “Greedy” Williams could be the man to fill that need.

The Atlanta Falcons have seen changes at the cornerback position. Gone is Robert Alford who manned a starting spot for six seasons. Brian Poole the starting nicked back for the last three years, was not offered a contract to return. Isaiah Oliver who was drafted in the second round last year, is expected to take over for Alford. Damontae Kazee, who became the starting free safety after a season ending injury to Ricardo Allen, is the favorite to take over at the nickel corner spot. The team also resigned Blidi Wreh-Wilson to add depth at the position. Outside of that, there is not any established depth, making drafting at least one cornerback a priority for the Dirty Birds.

Andraez “Greedy” Williams is a cornerback from Shreveport, Louisiana. His grandmother gave him the name Greedy when he was a young kid. He won two state championships in High School, for Calvin Baptist Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was a teammate of Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson on those title-winning teams. Williams was a four star recruit coming out of high school. He chose to sign with his home state LSU Tigers, to continue his career on the collegiate level.
