As we count down the days to the 2019 NBA Draft, I give you my opinion on how the Atlanta Hawks should prioritize, the potential trade targets in this year’s draft.

Now armed with a third first round pick, Atlanta Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk has a plethora of options to consider in the 2019 NBA Draft. Schlenk now has the draft assets to trade for nearly any pick on June 20, the only exceptions being the first two picks. Atlanta could also look to trade down to acquire even more future draft picks. They currently own up to nine potential first round draft selections in the next four drafts. However the Hawks only hold their own first round pick in 2021, so it’s possible Schlenk would like to have multiple selections in that draft as well.

The Atlanta Hawks biggest need position wise is a wing player. As far as sill set is concerned, versatile players that can dribble, shoot, pass and defend are coveted. Length and superior athletic ability are also sure to be desired by the club. Most importantly, Atlanta is searching for more players with the work ethic, desire and competitive fire, to match those traits possessed by Trae Young, John Collins and many other players currently with the team. With that being said, here are the players I feel are worthy enough for the Hawks to consider surrendering assets for, in order to trade up and secure their services.
