Impact on Trade Target Jarrett Culver

The 2019 NBA Draft is where the Atlanta Hawks New starting small forward is likely to come from. Texas Tech wing, Jarrett Culver is believed to be a target of Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk. It was previously thought that Atlanta would target the Cleveland Cavaliers as a trade partner, since Culver was not a threat to be selected at number four. Now that the Pelicans hold the fourth pick and have a need on the wing, the Atlanta Hawks must at least speak to the New Orleans Pelicans, if Culver is indeed the target. Jeremy Woo, Sports Illustrated draft expert, restated the Hawks interest in moving up for Culver in his updated Mock Draft. He gives us the following quote about the Hawks chances of obtaining the fourth pick:

"There’s going to be a market for this pick: we’ve previously reported the Hawks’ interest in moving up, and the guard-needy Suns and Bulls could ensure they secure the guy they want by coming up to 4. Both Atlanta and Phoenix have interest in Culver, and the Hawks have a significant amount of draft capital to spare if they want to move up—feasibly, they should be able to make the Pelicans the best offer for No. 4, if they want it badly enough. There are strong indications right now that New Orleans will aim to maximize the value of this pick."

ESPN Guru Adrian Wojnarowski, the most connect man in basketball, recently tweeted that the Pelicans would take calls for the number four pick. Chris Kirchner the Atlanta Hawks beat writer for the Athletic, immediately replied that the Atlanta Hawks are indeed one of the teams interested in acquiring the pick:
