Having Trae Young set screens for shooters, is not the only way to use him as a screener. He can also be used as the screener in the pick and roll, with Cam Reddish as the ball handler. This will force defenses to make a difficult decision, just as they have to do when facing Golden State.
The following two tweets by Shane Young, NBA columnist for Forbes Sports, show the consequences of the wrong decision on such a play. The first clip using Steph Curry, show us how Trae Young could free himself by slipping the screen.
Here's the famous KD-Curry pick & roll, but with Steph as the screener/slipper. As I wrote in my column earlier this season, this often works even better than KD as screener.

By slipping without contact, Curry gives Fox & Jackson literally no time to consider what to do pic.twitter.com/vF0t3mS8wL
The second clip provided by Shane Young, also using Curry setting a screen for Kevin Durant, shows us what could happen if the defense attempts to trap Cam Reddish running the same play. A simple pass would lead to a wide open mid range shot by Trae Young.
Should the defense rotate, it will result in either a lay-up, or open shot for John Collins, Kevin Huerter or De’Andre Hunter. It is a true pick your poison situation.
Finally, the anticipated KD-Steph pick & roll, with Steph as the screener this time. Warriors don't run it enough. A quick trap on KD gets Curry so open that he even hesitates.
