The Atlanta Braves have several interesting free-agent decisions to make this off-season including whether or not to bring back Dallas Keuchel. Bringing back Keuchel should be a top priority for Atlanta if his production continues.

Dallas Keuchel has had an impressive start for the Atlanta Braves. Making the Braves decision to bring Dallas in on a one-year deal look better with every start he has made. Dallas will be a free agent once again this off-season looking for a multi-year deal.

Atlanta will have to decide whether or not the risk is worth what he brings to the team. Much of this will likely be decided during the postseason and down the stretch of the season.

However, if Dallas continues at his current rate of production it is a no-brainer of a move for Atlanta to bring Dallas back to Atlanta.

They have the financial flexibility and should still be able to bring back Josh Donaldson and Brian McCann as well if they choose.

Dallas and Donaldson are likely to be the priorities considering the huge impact they have had on the team and the fact they take Atlanta’s roster to the next level.

For Keuchel the question will be how long of a deal he expects from Atlanta? We have seen that this front office is very hesitant to give multi-year deals.

However, if the team does find success during the postseason it is hard to see the front office holding out any further if they believe they have a roster that can finally break through and win their first championship in over two decades.

Dallas Keuchel will be one of the best pitchers to hit the free-agent market next off-season meaning Atlanta will likely have to overpay to bring him back to Atlanta. Though considering the recent free-agent market it is anyone’s guess what Keuchel will receive once free agency opens this winter.
