Kendall Milton’s On Field Performance

On the field Milton’s track record speaks for itself. Last season as a junior, Kendall rushed for 1,337 yards and a whopping 27 touchdowns! That’s a phenomenal 7.7 yards per carry. He also added 7 catches for 71 yards. Milton even intercepted a pass.

His sophomore campaign was just as dynamic. Kendall rushed for 1514 yards and 23 touchdowns, according to maxpreps.com. That’s an amazing 8.7 yards per carry.

Milton also caught eight balls for 117 yards (14.6 YPC) and added two more touchdowns to his total.  Additionally he added two quarterback sacks to the stat sheet. Is there anything that this young man can’t do?

What the Experts are Saying

Kendall Milton is a versatile running back, who runs with power and ferocity. Yet he also has the speed and agility to elude, run by and run away from would be tacklers.

According to rotoworld.com Milton has been compared to NFL greats Leonard Fournette of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Melvin Gordon of the Los Angeles Chargers and James Connor of the Pittsburgh Steelers. They also suggested that He has the talent to one day he an NFL first round draft pick. That speaks volumes, with the drafts’ devaluation of running backs in the modern era.

Personally when I watch Kendall Milton on film, his running style reminds me of a young Eddie George. The former Ohio State running back is a Heisman Trophy winner and a four-time NFL Pro Bowl selection with the Tennessee Titans. Should Milton develop into that caliber of a running back, I would say he’s done quite well for himself.

I spoke with Jamey Goodman of the world-famous Dawgcast Podcast and he said he got that same Eddie George comparison when watching Kendall Milton. He also gave the following statement:

"“You know I love recruiting. I get excited every single time a kid commits to play ball in Athens. This one got me a little more amped than usual for a couple of reasons. On the field, Kendall is an SEC back. He has the size to tote it between the tackles, the agility to bounce it out and make someone miss, the speed to turn it up and take it home and balance hardly found at the high school level. He just checks all of the boxes. This is where Kendall exceeds his 5 star rating. They say life is about relationships and the Milton family may have the blueprint for that. Their faith and steady hands are all over Kendall. You can see it when he speaks by the way his peers pay attention. His words matter. They tend to when you lead by example. Simply put Kendall is a born leader.”"
