The Atlanta Falcons season is right around the corner. The disappointment of last season can no longer be the focus. Instead, the Falcons will have to work to get back to the playoffs. With a team this talented, that shouldn’t be an issue.

Last season, for the Atlanta Falcons, was a roller coaster. Atlanta started the season 1-4, got back to .500 at 4-4, lost 5 straight games to fall to 4-9, and then closed the season out on a three-game winning streak to finish the season at 7-9. The 2018 Atlanta Falcons were the definition of inconsistency. Injuries are a big part of the up-and-down nature of the season, but also poor performances were a big part of the failures of last season.

If the Falcons want to get back to the playoffs, they’ll need big performances from some of their key players that were lacking last season. It’s easy to point the finger at the injuries this team sustained, and that was a major issue, but there are some big-time players on this roster that underperformed in a big way. These four players are going to need to have bounce-back seasons if the Falcons want to get back to their winning ways.
