The Atlanta Falcons are coming off of a rough and injury ravaged 2018 season. Early momentum is going to be huge for a team who will be facing a tough schedule despite their rough finish.

The Atlanta Falcons will face the Vikings in week one, the Eagles in week two, and the Texans in week five.  The Titans and Colts are far more beatable teams Atlanta will face in weeks three and four.

However, three of their first five opponents are legitimate playoff level teams Atlanta must find a way to beat. Starting out the season by losing even two of those games would be a major cause for concern.

Within a tough division, Atlanta needs to seize early momentum winning week one on the road against the Vikings and at the very least splitting against the Texans and Eagles. Getting their team into an early rhythm is important not only because of their tough schedule but mentally for a team who has been beaten up.

After the infamous Super Bowl collapse, Atlanta fell against the Nick Foles led Eagles the next season failing to score a game-clinching touchdown despite seemingly endless chances.

The next season they fell out of the playoffs altogether with a string of injuries. Now they must find a way to start quickly and regain confidence pushing themselves back into playoff relevance.

Game one will be played on the road against the Vikings and will be one of the biggest games of the season for a Falcons team that badly needs to know they are headed in the right direction.

Week two will be at home against the Eagles who are once again one of the favorites to come out of the NFC. Atlanta needs to get off to a fast start and prove they are capable of making the Super Bowl once again.
