The Atlanta Braves have brought back veteran kicker Matt Bryant on a one-year deal. The deal is a great one for a team who needs kicking help badly, Atlanta fixed their mistake of letting Bryant go.

The Atlanta Falcons made the mistake of cutting veteran kicker Matt Bryant this past off-season. The move was a controversial one and one the majority of Falcon’s fans seemed very unhappy with.

Rightly so when you consider just how good Matt Bryant has been for not only the Falcons team but the Atlanta community. Bryant is not only a fantastic kicker but a good human being who is great for the city of Atlanta.

With the pre-season struggles of both kickers, Atlanta brought in to replace Bryant Atlanta turned back to the veteran. Bryant will rejoin the Falcon’s roster on a 1-year $3-million dollar deal. The deal is a bargain for Atlanta and one they needed to make to complete what should be a great offense.

It is surprising Atlanta was willing to admit they made a mistake in cutting Bryant and bringing the veteran back to Atlanta. They realized what many fans did when they made the move and were willing to go back on their decision.

Bryant will be the second oldest player in the NFL once the deal is made official. However, there should be little reason for concern when you consider Bryant’s consistency last season. Aside from an injury Bryant was as good as ever and looked to be in great “kicker” shape.

Atlanta should expect more of the same from the veteran who will stabilize one of the few questions left on the Atlanta roster. He gives Atlanta a weapon at kicker instead of a question mark.
