Football is finally back as the Atlanta Falcons are getting ready to kick off their season this Sunday against the Vikings. The game is a tough opening matchup but one Atlanta should win on the road.

Playing in Minnesota is never easy, however, the Atlanta Falcons are making the trip at the perfect time.  Before the ice cold weather hits Atlanta will make their trip to take on the Vikings in what should be a winnable game for the Falcons.

The biggest challenge for Atlanta is going to be matching up against the Vikings receivers. They have speed to beat a defense over the top or the ability to make tough contested catches. The Falcons skill at the receiver position matches the Vikings, however.

They also have the better running back, quarterback, and arguably (when healthy) the better defense.  There is also the fact, and now well established narrative of Kirk Cousin’s inability to beat winning teams.

He often seems to come up small and fails to deliver against teams above .500 no matter the situation or conference.

Atlanta will cruise offensively in this game after a slow start and win it with a late defensive stop. With a better offensive coordinator and a healthy defense this Atlanta team is set to rival any past Falcon’s roster in talent.

Matt Ryan will get off to a great start tossing for 320-yards with 2-passing touchdowns and a pick. Devonta Freeman adds in his first 100-yard rushing game of the season in his first game back as the Falcons win their first game of the season 31-24.

For Atlanta getting their first win of the season is big considering they will be taking on the Eagles in week two. The Eagles have a loaded roster and are considered by many to be Super Bowl favorites in the NFC.  Winning week one is monumental for Atlanta and they will get it done on the road against the Vikings.
