Georgia Football: Road Game Becomes a Home Game for Bulldogs
Georgia Bulldogs Fandom Rises to New Levels
Georgia Football has been a national brand for many years. Yet since Kirby Smart has taken over the program, Georgia Bulldogs fandom has risen to new levels.
Jamey Goodman of the Dawgcast witnessed for himself the level Georgia Bulldogs mania this weekend, as a local resident confirmed that UGA fandom has moved to unseen territory.
"“Hotels had UGA flags on the outside of the upper level room windows. One hotel employee told me he’s been working by the stadium for 20 years and has not ever seen anything remotely similar to what took place Saturday. He simply said with a smile “you guys are insane”. He may not be wrong.”"
Kirby Smart set the tone for the fans during the Dawgs first spring game, when he took over the coaching reins. The phenomenal fan support has continued to grow, powered by two consecutive SEC crowns.
The Bulldogs appearance in the National Championship Game, elevated the frenzy to a level never before seen at UGA. A level that rivals any fan base in college football.
The Georgia Bulldogs have seen road support grow exponentially in recent years. More and more Dawgs fans are traveling to watch UGA play, despite how far the road venue is.
Georgia fans are thirsty for the opportunity to witness history. They don’t want to miss a game, knowing this could be a special season. A season that they could one day tell their grandchildren about.
