Georgia Football: Zamir White Will Write Comeback Story for the Ages
Heralded redshirt freshman Zamir White saw his first career action for the Georgia Football program. Judging off of the way he ran the football, his story is already shaping up to be a comeback for the ages.
The Georgia Football program suffered a significant loss last season, when Zamir White went down with a major knee injury. White finally made his long anticipated debut for the Dawgs and he did not disappoint.
The scene was surreal as the Georgia Bulldogs traveled to Nashville. There were Georgia Bulldogs fans throughout the crowd, as the UGA fans took over Vanderbilt Stadium.
The fans in attendance, as well as the fans who watched on television, were privileged to receive a treat. They witnessed the much-anticipated debut of UGA running back Zamir White.
Zamir White comes to UGA as a highly decorated recruit out of Scotland County High School, in Laurinburg, North Carolina. He was the number one running back recruit in the 2018 class, the number one player from North Carolina and the number nine player overall, according to 247sports.com.
Zamir White put up monstrous number in high school, rushing for 7190 yards and an incredible 119 touchdowns. He logged 127 total scores.
Zamir White put up a robust average of 152.5 yards per game. He averaged nearly a first down, every time he touched the rock, posting an explosive 9.7 yards per carry average, according to maxpreps.com.
Zamir White is definitely familiar with the end zone, having scored on his first carry from scrimmage in high school. He also reportedly scored on his first carry of youth football.
Unfortunately for Zamir and the Georgia Bulldogs, an injury kept White out all of last season. This past Saturday against Vanderbilt, he finally got the opportunity that he has worked so diligently for.
