Overall Zamir White looked great. He clearly has the mass and power to run over defenders. However White is super elusive for his size and has the agility to evade would be tacklers in the hole, as well as in the open field.

Zamir White reminds me of another great UGA running back. He is a back that now applies his trade in the NFL for the Los Angeles Rams. That back is the great Todd Gurley. In fact White also hails from the same state and dons the same number three jersey number as Gurley.

Zamir White trained extremely hard during his rehab from multiple injuries to make this moment possible. The first injury came when he suffered a torn right ACL, during the 2017 High School playoffs.

White unfortunately tore his right ACL in a non contact injury during a practice scrimmage, causing him to miss the entire 2018 season. It was a beautiful thing to see Zamir’s hard work and perseverance pay off, with the stellar performance against Vandy.

The Georgia Bulldogs season opener was just the tip of the iceberg for Zamir White. As he continues to get stronger and more comfortable, he will provide the combination of power and elusiveness that no other running back on the UGA roster possesses.

Two key areas that Zamir White can be the difference maker for the Dawgs in, are short yardage and goal line situations. This has been a trouble area from last season, that continued to plague the Bulldogs against Vanderbilt. Ultimately Zamir White can be the perfect complement as thunder, to D’Andre Swift‘s lightning.

The comeback of Zamir White, is a storyline that Georgia Bulldogs fans will be following all season long and for his entire career. Expect to see many more yards and plenty of touchdowns, as White writes a comeback story for the ages. If you are a betting person I will advise you, do not bet against Zamir White.
