I like gambling. Do you like gambling? Here are some misguided, not thought out picks for NFL week 2. I skipped week 1 but that doesn’t matter. We are starting fresh with 5 picks a week from this point forward. I’ll keep track of my dismal record as the season goes along. Let’s get into it.

Miami(+19.5) over New England

Yes, I will take the points for Miami this week. The Dolphins are really a bad team who is currently dealing with a mutiny within the locker room after the embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens in week 1. On the other hand, the New England Patriots rolled through the Pittsburgh Steelers last week and this week will most likely have Antonio Brown on the field. The Patriots will win this game but I see the Dolphins putting up more of a fight. Miami always gives the Patriots trouble, no matter how bad Miami is. I see this game being closer than the 19.5 spread. Pats will win but the score will stay within 14-17 points.

Cincinnati(-1.5) over San Francisco

The Cincinnati Bengals almost pulled off a road week 1 upset against the Seattle Seahawks. The Bengals would come up short but the fight this team showed up under new head coach, Zac Taylor, was real. Playing at home, I expect the Bengals to put up a good fight. San Francisco struggled to win last week on the road in Tampa Bay. After Tampa’s win against Carolina, maybe the 49ers pulled off a big win by beating the Bucs but I’m not buying it. Jimmy G is still not right from his injury last season and we don’t know if he’s actually good or just being paid like someone who is good. It’s hard to tell. I’m taking the Red Rocket, Andy Dalton, to defend his home field.

Buffalo(-1.5) over New York Giants

The New York Giants are dogshit. There is no other way to put it. Eli Manning is still running the show and the Giants like him so much they drafted his doppelganger, Daniel Jones. I don’t like Pat Shurmur or the way he downplays Josh Allen’s GOAT credentials. Speaking of Josh Allen, he led the Bills to a comeback win over the New York Jets in week 1. Allen is ready to add the Giants to the list of New York teams that suck that I’ve also beaten. I don’t see the Bills getting beat by the prolific arm of Eli or Daniel. Take the Bills to cover the spread.

Los Angeles Rams(-2) over New Orleans

The Rams looked like they haven’t skipped a beat, as far as offense is concerned. The defense might be a little shaky, but why would a shaky defense be a problem against the New Orleans Saints? The Saints pulled Monday’s game out of their ass late so I don’t see that happening again. New Orleans is going across the country on a short week after a tough and physical game. Take the Rams.

Atlanta(+2) over Philadelphia

Yes, this is Atlanta and yes, I will pick the home team. The Falcons have lost three in a row to the Eagles coming into this game. I think the Falcons pull themselves off the mat for this game to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start. It’s not going to be easy, considering the Eagles roster is pretty great this season, but it’s possible. I picked the Falcons last week and lost money. I plan to keep picking them until I make some money or lose my house and family. Either way, go Falcons!
