The Atlanta Braves will be without Ender Inciarte in the first round of the postseason.  Inciarte has had a setback and will not be ready for round one of the postseason.

The Atlanta Braves will be without Ender Inciarte in the first round of the postseason. A fact that will put Matt Joyce and Billy Hamilton into the postseason lineups.  It will make Atlanta weaker offensively but they still should be the favorite in the first round.

Inciarte is having the worst season of his career and it will be furthered by the fact he will miss the first round of the postseason.

Atlanta, unlike last season, has the depth to deal with the injury to Inciarte. Hamilton has been surprisingly good since joining Atlanta and Matt Joyce is a good hitter.

Ronald Acuna Jr. and Nick Markakis will help cover any falloff in production from their fellow outfielder. Hamilton is likely to be the defender in the later inning with Joyce starting to give Atlanta their best lineup.

If Atlanta were to advance to the next round having Inciarte ready would be a huge advantage. Atlanta needs absolutely every advantage they can take considering it is likely to be the NL favored Dodgers waiting in the next round.

Inciarte is a gold glove defender and at his best a .300 hitter who can create havoc on the base paths. He exemplifies so many qualities about this team and will be an important piece if Atlanta can get him back after the first round.

With two games left against the Mets, Atlanta is likely to rest a lot of their starters as they gear up to take on the postseason once again.  Atlanta will also be without Ronald Acuna for the final two games. Acuna hopes to join Atlanta in round one.
