2. Atlanta Has Their “Ace” in Seasoned Veteran Dallas Keuchel

Dallas Keuchel will get the ball for the Atlanta Braves in game one against the Cardinals. It is the right decision for manager Brian Snitker considering his options. Keuchel has the best recent postseason resume of any of the starting pitchers on either side.

Though he may not have always been successful he is one of the few veteran arms on either team. Veteran Adam Wainwright is on the opposing roster but is well past his prime and doesn’t have the stuff that Keuchel does at this point in his career.

Dallas is a weapon that Atlanta was so obviously lacking last postseason. They didn’t have THAT pitcher who they would start in game one or game seven without hesitation. They now have that leader and production in Dallas Keuchel.

Sliding back the rest of their rotation and giving their young arms a calming presence as they prepare for their first postseason.  Mike Foltynewicz is likely follow Keuchel starting game two of the postseason.
