3. The Comeback Kids in Atlanta Never Stop Fighting

While there is no disrespect meant to the Cardinals they simply haven’t had the season Atlanta has. They don’t have the roster or the comeback ability that Atlanta has. Both of the last two seasons Atlanta has made a name for themselves on late inning comebacks ranking at the top of the League in runs scored in the 7th inning or later.

While that ability will be somewhat quelled during the postseason when they are facing the best pitching Atlanta still has a roster that knows they can always come back.

That confidence and swagger is something that the Cardinals seemingly lack in their clubhouse. They have experience and talented young players but not to the extent Atlanta does from top to bottom.

This isn’t to say that the Cardinals aren’t a great team or Atlanta will win every game, only that Atlanta has been special when it matters most this season.   If the Cardinals are going to win this series they are going to have to keep the Braves late inning heroics in check for at least three games. Something I don’t believe their roster is capable of doing.
