The Atlanta Falcons fell to 1-6 after a thorough thrashing by the Los Angeles Rams. With the current state of the franchise, the team should be sellers at the trade deadline.

The Atlanta Falcons season continues to go down the drain after losing to the Los Angeles Rams, a team that had previously lost three straight games. The Falcons were dominated in all three phases of the game, offense, defense, and special teams.

To add injury to insult quarterback Matt Ryan suffered a right ankle injury in the 37-10 blowout loss. He was injured early in the 4th quarter after being sacked by All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald. Ryan also fumbled on the play.

Matt Ryan was sacked five times on the afternoon as the Atlanta Falcons struggled mightily to protect him. Dante Fowler Jr. was the biggest beneficiary of the Falcons’ inability to pass protect, collecting three sacks on the afternoon. He beat struggling rookie Kaleb Mcgary for two sacks and Jake Matthews who is having a down year for the other.

Matt Ryan was also charged with his eighth interception of the season on a screen pass that was dropped by Mohamed Sanu. That gives him 11 turnovers on the season.

After five consecutive losses, it’s time to wave the white flag of surrender. The Atlanta Falcons should call general managers around the NFL, and trade-off everyone that they can to compile more draft picks, with the exception of a few keepers.
