The Atlanta Falcons will be playing in prime-time against the New Orleans Saints on Thanksgiving. This is unfortunate both for Falcons fans and football fans alike.  Another meaningless game the Falcons will likely find creative ways to lose.

The Atlanta Falcons sit at 3-8 on the season and somehow are one of the worst teams in the NFC. When you look at rosters around the League that really is an impressive feat in itself with all the talent this Atlanta team has.

Just how they have managed to be THIS bad defies explanation. Even the worst teams in the League find ways to win games every now and again, the Falcons have three lonely wins on the season against 8-losses.

Those losses have often been ugly with the Falcons being dominated from start to finish. This season should be the end of the coaching staff and should bring a rebuild to Atlanta.

For now, however, Atlanta fans must make it through the remainder of what is going to be a very long season starting with tomorrow’s primetime Thanksgiving Day game.

Coming into the season it looked like a great match-up a holiday finished off with a good-old-fashioned hate game. The Saints and the Falcons were expected to play a meaningful rivalry game as the best two teams in a solid division.

Instead, the Saints will be playing attempting to keep pace with the 49er’s chasing them for the top seed in the NFC while the Falcons play for absolutely nothing. It is hard to even be sold on this team losing out for a draft spot.

They can’t even tank correctly finding every possible way to disappoint as any true Atlanta teams does. It is a game many Falcons fans may choose to skip deciding instead to enjoy their holiday and not watch the dumpster fire that is the Atlanta Falcons.
