The Atlanta Hawks are in the midst of the tailspin, currently on a ten-game losing streak. As if things couldn’t get worse, Trae Young went down with an ankle injury when the Hawks were playing the Milwaukee Bucks last week.

On Friday, the Atlanta Hawks had their hands full with the Milwaukee Bucks in town while trying to break an eight-game winning streak. With Giannis and Eric Bledsoe sitting out of the game, the Hawks had a good chance to break their long losing streak. The Hawks got off to a slow start, getting in a hole quickly, and things got even more complicated when Trae Young went down with an ankle injury.

Trae Young has been doing everything he can to carry this Hawks team to wins. Unfortunately, for the Hawks and Trae, the team has struggled mightily all season with different injuries and suspensions. Now, with Trae Young sidelined, the Atlanta Hawks are in danger of hitting rock bottom.

To add insult to Trae’s injury, the Hawks had no time to regroup with a game the next day with the Chicago Bulls. The Hawks had to board a plane as soon as the game ended to head to Chicago without their main star. Despite a heroic effort from John Collins, the shorthanded Hawks were blown out by the Bulls to extend their losing streak to 10 games.

The Hawks are back in action on Monday with the Orlando Magic. Reportedly, Trae Young will miss Monday’s game while nursing his ankle injury. The good news is Trae will be back soon, however, with Young missing, the Hawks will continue to struggle with so many young players seemingly incapable of leading the Hawks out of the mess they’ve gotten themselves into. While the losing streak has reached ten games, don’t be surprised to see it extend even further.
