The Atlanta Braves signed Marcell Ozuna to a one-year deal, a deal that will provide Ozuna the chance to bounce back this season. If he can stay healthy Ozuna is going to have a huge season.

Marcell Ozuna has put up great numbers in his career, but never has he played with an offense as talented as the Atlanta Braves lineup. From top to bottom Atlanta has a great run scoring lineup, with arguably the best 1-4 in all of baseball.

Ozuna is coming off of his worst average in his career hitting .241 with 89-runs batted in. Those numbers are going to go way up in the 2020 season. This lineup is consistently going to give Ozuna pitches to hit and runners to chase home.

Marcell is a career .272 hitter and put his best seasons together with the Miami Marlins. His two seasons with the Cardinals were injury plagued and it was obvious he wasn’t the same player he was in Miami.

While he was productive he didn’t come close to the MVP numbers he put up his final year in Miami. This season that will change, joining a Braves lineup that has Ozzie Albies, Freddie Freeman, and Ronald Acuna Jr. hitting in front of him is going to vault Ozuna back into form.

He has the talent and power and will see a lot more pitches to hit then he did in St. Louis. Atlanta made the right decision signing Ozuna once they lost out on Josh Donaldson. Offensively Ozuna is capable of replacing his production and keep Atlanta’s offense at the top of the League.

It will be a bounce back year for Ozuna, one that will demand he receive the multi-year deal he was looking for this off-season. More to come as the Atlanta Braves off-season continues.
