The NBA All-Star Break officially ends tonight for the Atlanta Hawks as they get ready to play the Miami Heat. The Hawks will be trying to avoid the season sweep at the hands of the Heat.

It’s been more than a week since the Atlanta Hawks last were on the court to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. For the Hawks, that was a game the players and coaches would be happy to put in the rearview mirror as quickly as possible. Any time your team loses by more than 20 to the Cavs, you can guarantee something went awry. Coming into these final 26 games, the Hawks will be looking to end the season with some positivity and momentum as the team heads into the offseason.

To open up the post-All-Star Break, the Hawks will be welcoming the Miami Heat to Atlanta for the final game between the two teams. The Heat have won all three of the games played against the Hawks this season. If the Hawks fall tonight, they will be swept by the Miami Heat for the season.

The Hawks announced earlier that Clint Capela and Skal Labissiere won’t be back in the lineup any time soon. When asked about the pair, Coach Lloyd Pierce said the pair still will be out for ‘weeks’. With only 26 games left in the season, the Hawks are likely to not see Capela and Labissiere for the rest of the season. De’Andre Hunter has been listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain. Kevin Huerter has been listed as probable as he deals with an allergic reaction of some kind. The rest of the roster is healthy and expected to play tonight when the Hawks take the floor against the Heat.

It will be imperative for the Hawks to get off to a fast start following the All-Star Break. Prior to the break, the Hawks had won 4 of their last 10, with two losses in a row coming in their final two games. The Hawks, up to that point, had been playing better basketball as the team continued to get healthy and gel together. Losing back-to-back games against Cleveland and Orlando halted any positive momentum the Hawks had going into the All-Star Break. It’s going to be very important for this young team to get their feet under them quickly. A win against the Heat will be a perfect way to start.

The Hawks and Heat will tip-off tonight at 7:30 in Atlanta. Tune in to cheer the Hawks on to a win. Go Hawks!
