2. Jarred Kelenic

The outfielder being demoted to Gwinnett tells you everything you need to know about his standing in the organization. If Atlanta can throw Kelenic into any potential deal to give him a fresh start, they will unquestionably pull the trigger. Manager Brian Snitker continued to stubbornly start Kelenic even as the outfielder actively hurt his team at the plate. The outfielder was given every possible chance at redemption and simply is a sunk cost for the Braves.

Whether or not there is any market for Kelenic is up for debate. It seems unlikely, considering the cost and the lack of offensive production in the last two years. For two back-to-back seasons, the Braves have been desperate for outfield production and actively pushed Kelenic out of the lineup. It is telling and a warning sign that is going to make his market extremely limited.

It is either going to have to be paired with a prospect or be two teams swapping problems. Kelenic doesn't have any trade value whatsoever without Atlanta offering something else in return.

3. Nacho Alvarez Jr.

When Atlanta's infield dealt with injuries in the 2024 season, the team turned to Nacho as a possible answer. It became glaring that the infielder wasn't ready, and Atlanta moved in another direction. Still, the prospect remains highly ranked in Atlanta's system and is one of their more attractive prospects that could actually be acquired.

The Braves cannot afford to give up the pitching and should be cautious about trading any other top prospect. This is the one fit that could make sense when you look at Atlanta's current infield and the possible solutions over the next two seasons. If the Braves want to add a big name before this year's trade deadline, this is the name Atlanta should consider including in any potential trade package.
