4. Matt Manning
Manning was expected to be a part of Detriot's rotation as a long-term answer. The starter has had some great runs but cannot put a full season together with the Tigers. This has led to Manning being demoted and remaining on the fringe of the team's rotation plans. Manning could use a change of scenery, and the Braves need a possible answer to the current rotation concerns.
Looking at the team's current trade options, a splashy addition isn't likely. You're not going to be able to add the top arms on the market without heavily overpaying. This early into the season every team is still in the hunt for the postseason. The Braves need to look at talented pieces that have struggled in their current landing spots. Manning fits this perfectly and would be a piece the Tigers should be willing to move at a low cost.
Adding the starter gives Atlanta a talented reclamation project that could prove to be an answer to the bottom of the rotation. It is at least worth picking up the phone and finding out the potential price.
5. Bobby Miller
Would the Dodgers have any interest in helping a team that has been their postseason rival? It is obvious that Miller no longer has a place in the organization with all the recent pitching additions. When Clayton Kershaw and Ohtani can return to the rotation, the Dodgers will have too many talented options.
Miller had an incredible start to his career but imploded last season. This led to the Dodgers adding so many options for the rotation and moving on from the talented starter. Even with last season's miserable numbers, Miller's talent remains intriguing.
Atlanta could give the starter a chance to work out his issues at the big-league level and hope he recaptures the player he was at the beginning of his career.
