The Atlanta Braves chose to move on from a number of key players on the 2024 roster. A piece of this was the improving health of Atlanta's roster, while another appeared to be an ownership group that wasn't willing to spend top dollar. This led to frustrating departures many fans could point to as a reason for the team's rough start.

Still, there are former Braves who are struggling to adjust to their new teams, which will ease some of Atlanta's frustrations with the lack of re-signings. Misery loves company and no fanbase is more frustrated and miserable to start the season than the Atlanta Braves. With this in mind, here are five Braves who would fit perfectly in with their former team's frustrations.

1. Charlie Morton - SP

Morton started his career with the Atlanta Braves in the 2008 season. Driving the point home of how long this has been, John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, Kelly Johnson, and Chipper Jones were still all on the Atlanta roster. Outfielder Jeff Francoeur wasn't in the Braves broadcast booth but entering the prime seasons of his career. All of this is to note how impressive it is that Morton is still in the league, regardless of the veteran's early struggles.

Charlie Morton would be given a change of scenery moving to Pittsburgh for the 2009 season making stops with the Phillies, Astros, and Rays before returning to Atlanta for the 2021 season. Thirteen years after originally making his debut in an Atlanta uniform the pitcher would prove to be a pivotal piece to the team's World Series run. Each of the next three seasons, Morton was a reliable innings-eater in the Atlanta rotation.

The Braves moving on was a bit of a surprise with the veteran wanting to continue his career. Signing with Baltimore the first starts of the season have been concerning. Perhaps it is time to wonder if Father Time has finally caught up with the World Series champ. No matter what the answer is, moving on from Morton was still a difficult decision fans could still take fault with if the veteran turns things around.
