If you're making an argument for the strongest position on the Atlanta Falcons roster, there is no questioning that it is the running back position. Bijan Robinson is quickly putting himself among the league's elite at his position. One of the more frustrating aspects of Kirk Cousins imploding is the fact that it covered up the story of Robinson's incredible run down the stretch of the season. So often, when the quarterback was completely lost, it was Robinson who was the lone source of reliable production. With the star receivers reliant on Cousins, there is only so much that can be done when your point guard cannot get you the football.
Leading us to Tyler Allgeier and the backup's quiet excellence. There is no argument against the fact that Allgeier has more than earned a chance at a starting role. His punishing style helps form the perfect duo with Robinson. However, entering a contract year, the Falcons must begin to consider replacing the second option. That led to the team's recent signing of running back Jashaun Corbin, who is coming off an incredible UFL season.

Corbin led the #UFL in rushing yards (514), with 4 TD's to his name. Was one of the most electric playmakers in Payton Pardee's offense.

Corbin is a great potential weapon to add to Zac Robinson's offense, giving a loaded group yet another wrinkle. It is going to be incredibly difficult for the back to find time on the field competing with Allgeier and Robinson. This in an offense that is expected to take a step forward, throwing the football with quarterback Michael Penix Jr. taking over as the full-time starter. Still, it is a noteworthy addition that shows Atlanta is thinking about the future.
There isn't a path to keeping both Allgeier and Robinson and paying both backs what is deserved. This move is all about finding another weapon in hopes of being able to replace Allgeier with a great second option in the 2026 season.
The Texas A&M product spent time with the Giants and Panthers before making the leap to the UFL with the San Antonio Brahmas. Corbin put up an explosive season, piling up 514 yards and 4 touchdowns on the season. This production was enough to earn Corbin a second chance at joining the league as Atlanta's possible answer to replacing Allgeier.
