The Atlanta Falcons have been relatively quiet this offseason. With a limited amount of cap space and the decision to keep Kirk Cousins around, the Falcons have had to make low-cost signings.

Some of their key moves thus far have been signing LB Divine Deablo and Leonard Floyd while re-signing CB Mike Hughes.

The Falcons continued to keep their players, as they re-signed DT Kentavius Street, the team announced on Monday.

Falcons Re-Signed Kentavius Street

Street has been with the Falcons for the past two and a half seasons after being acquired during a midseason trade in 2023 from the Philadelphia Eagles.

He was a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He spent three seasons there before landing with the New Orleans Saints and Eagles before coming over to Atlanta.

Street stepped into a bigger role when Grady Jarrett went down in 2023. He started in five straight games before going on injured reserve with a pec injury. In 2024, Street logged 15 total tackles, four TFLs, one QB hit, and one sack. According to PFF, Street had a 61.5 overall grade and an 80.4 run defense grade.

The departure of Jarrett certainly plays a role in why Street was brought back. They need some run stuffers along the interior of the defensive line and Street provides that.

While he may not be the full-time starter for the Falcons in 2025, he gives the team a nice depth option. The Falcons can't afford to pay big bucks to bring in guys this offseason, so bringing back players who were effective in your scheme makes sense.

This upcoming draft class is known for having a deep DT group, and that may be where the Falcons find another quality defensive tackle for the 2025 campaign.
