The Atlanta Falcons haven't been super aggressive in the offseason to add talent to the roster. According to Overthecap.com, the Falcons only have $10.5 million available in cap space, with quarterback Kirk Cousins holding the highest base salary at $27.5 million.
While it's a major topic of discussion when or where Cousins will play football in 2025, the Falcons still have the opportunity to bring back a veteran on the defensive side of the ball.
The RiseUpReader X account suggested that Atlanta re-sign Matthew Judon on a team-friendly deal.

Falcons Urged to Bring Back Matthew Judon
The Falcons have been searching for a competent defensive line for the past couple of years. That's why they shipped a 2025 third-round pick to the New England Patriots in exchange for Judon last August. In his first year with the team, Judon was second on the team in sacks (5.5).
While he may no longer be in his prime, the Falcons need as many capable pass-rushers as possible. They were ranked 31st in the league in team sacks (31) last season.
Judon wouldn't single-handedly dominate Atlanta's pass rush, but he would give them someone who has shown the ability to generate pressure at a high level. In his nine-year career, Judon has compiled 72 sacks, including four seasons with at least eight sacks.
The Falcons will still need to find additional upgrades via the trade market and the 2025 NFL Draft. This upcoming draft class is extremely deep along the defensive line, especially the interior.
ESPN's Mel Kiper released his two-round mock draft on Tuesday and had the Falcons taking EDGE Mike Green with the 15th overall pick. If that's the route they want to take, bringing back Judon would make even more sense.
Having a veteran pass rusher with Pro Bowl experience mentor Green would help the Falcons in 2025 and beyond.
