As Atlanta Falcons fans await to see what the team does with veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, the Falcons have made a few signings during the first week of NFL free agency.
Atlanta signed veterans Leonard Floyd, Mike Ford, Divine Deablo, while re-signing six players from last year’s team, including Mike Hughes. On Thursday, they re-signed another player, who will give them depth on the offensive line.
According to JL Sports Agency, the Falcons have re-signed offensive lineman Storm Norton to a two-year deal.

The 30-year-old lineman has spent the last two years in Atlanta after starting his career with the Los Angeles Chargers. Norton has appeared in 31 games (four starts) across two seasons with the Falcons. The veteran offensive lineman made three starts in his first season with the Falcons.
Last season, the veteran lineman started in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints for Kaleb McGary, who suffered a knee injury in the previous week against the Kansas City Chiefs. Norton played some snaps in that Week 3 game where McGary got hurt.
Norton played 102 snaps at right tackle and 25 at left tackle last season. Heading into the 2025 season, the Falcons are set at the tackle spots with McGary and Jake Matthews, who the latter was signed to a two-year, $45 million contract extension.
The Falcons hope McGary and Matthews stay healthy next season, but it's good to know they have a quality swing tackle in Norton. As a whole, Atlanta's offensive line might be set for 2025. Even though they lost Drew Dalman in free agency, they have a potential starting option in Ryan Neuzil.
For Michael Penix Jr. to have success next season as the full-time starter, it will fall on the offensive line to protect and keep him clean in the pocket.
