The Atlanta Falcons have transitioned to the next phase of the offseason. OTAs started on Tuesday, and the team will run a series of practices until June 5.
Head coach Raheem Morris spoke with reporters in the morning, and he discussed a flurry of topics. Second-year linebacker Bralen Trice was brought up, and Morris gave an update on the young defender.
Daniel Flick of Sports Illustrated wrote that Morris revealed training camp as a "realistic goal" for Trice to be a full-go participant during practice. Morris added that the 24-year-old had been working with the Falcons' performance team on the side, and he isn't ready to roll just yet.

Morris said Trice, who tore his ACL on Aug. 9, is primarily working with the Falcons' performance team off to the side and isn't fully back yet.
Bralen Trice Could Return to the Field in Training Camp
Trice suffered a torn ACL last August in a preseason game against the Miami Dolphins. The Falcons were looking for the Washington product to make an impact in his first season to create some pressure, but that wasn't able to happen.
In 2024, the Falcons were ranked 31st in the league in team sacks (31), and they understood that can't be the case again.
That led to them adding Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. in the first round to bolster the pass rush. Trice's injury also contributed to why the Falcons wanted more juice off the edge.
While this isn't the best development, Atlanta still has time before the pads come on. Training camp will open up in mid-July for the Falcons, and that's when they hope Trice can step back out there. He came into the league as a physical and strong player at the point of attack with the ability to turn his power into speed.
With the new additions at the position, Atlanta can ease Trice back into action. Regardless, the team hopes he can be ready to roll in the summer and be able to suit up when the season kicks off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 7.
