The Falcons had an incredibly favorable schedule this season, playing downtrodden opponents and competing in one of the league's weakest divisions. Add in the weapons they have in Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Kyle Pitts, Tyler Allgeier, and Bijan Robinson, and there is simply no room for further excuses. Contending for a wildcard spot and having a winning record should be a baseline expectation that Morris isn't currently on pace to reach.
As harsh as this might seem, it is the reality of the league. If Morris is truly the right leader for this franchise, this season needs to turn around quickly. Otherwise, the Falcons must turn the page, not willingly accept another season of mediocrity. This is only amplified by the fact that last season, the Falcons completely collapsed in great playoff positioning, and Morris appeared powerless to stop the tumble.

Morris is easy to cheer for and the perfect example of the type of personality you want as the decision-maker of your franchise. Still, nothing matters but winning when you reach this level, and it is clear that the head coach isn't doing that nearly often enough.
