The Atlanta Falcons have taken a quiet approach to free agency this offseason. With limited cap space, they decided to make some low-cost free-agency moves.

They've also decided to keep Kirk Cousins... for now. The Falcons will use the NFL draft as an avenue to improve the team but they should also look into some trades. And they could have the chance to bring in a former Georgia Bulldog.

According to Charlie Campbell of Walter Football, the Jacksonville Jaguars are open to trade offers on EDGE Travon Walker.

Jaguars Taking Trade Calls on Travon Walker

Campbell wrote, "While sources in Jacksonville view Walker as a long-term piece of the roster, sources with the Jaguars say they would listen and consider offers for their young defensive lineman."

Walker was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by Jacksonville. He improved in all three seasons and is one of the best young pass rushers in the NFL. In 49 career games, Walker has recorded 162 total tackles, 28 TFLs, 44 QB hits, and 24 sacks. He finished with 10-plus sacks in back-to-back seasons.

In addition, he's logged 56-plus pressures in back-to-back campaigns. The Falcons badly need juice off the edge, and Walker could be the perfect pass-rusher for them. He played college ball with the Georgia Bulldogs and is a Georgia native.

He would certainly be open to heading back to his home state, especially if the Falcons offer him a lucrative extension.

The Falcons need to get more juice off the edge. This past season, they were ranked 31st in the league in team sacks (31) and didn't have anyone log more than six sacks. Without a top-notch edge rusher, it makes things harder on the defense.

GM Terry Fontenot would be smart to call Jacksonville to gauge the price of Walker. It's hard to find great pass rushers, especially ones that are just 24 years old.
