Looking at the current Atlanta Falcons offense, the biggest remaining concerns are depth at center and receiver. While Ryan Neuzil has proven himself with a long starting stint in 2024, the team should still consider adding additional depth. Even more concerning is what happens if the Falcons were to suffer any long-term injuries at receiver in the 2024 season. Drake London, Darnell Mooney, and Ray-Ray McCloud are a great starting trio who have absolutely zero proven depth behind them.

Included in this concerning depth is receiver Chris Blair, who has one catch for 17 yards in his career. Blair was underwhelming when taking the field in the 2024 season, looking concerningly overmatched. Considering the receiver on the 2025 chopping block isn't a stretch when you look at the wildcards the Falcons have brought in at the position.

Chris Blair Needs a Strong Offseason to Retain His Falcons Roster Spot

For Blair to remain on the active roster, the receiver needs a strong OTAs and a great preseason. One that proves the receiver has taken a meaningful step forward and can provide value behind the Falcons' starters. This is the goal, but not the expectation for a player who has already struggled enough to be replaced.

Atlanta has an interesting number of unproven options, with Casey Washington, Jamal Agnew, Jesse Matthews, Nick Nash, and Dylan Drummond among the current options. Special-teams ace KhaDarel Hodge expects to factor into the position as well as the fourth option if no other surprise contributor steps up.

With this in mind, it is a make-or-break offseason for a receiver who hasn't yet accomplished enough to continue his NFL career. Struggling in OTAs could result in the Falcons going ahead and making the tough decision to move on, exploring bringing in a more established veteran option.

No matter how it plays out, it is clear the pressure is on for Blair, and there must be a noted improvement. After 2024's epic meltdown, this is a pivotal season for Raheem Morris and Terry Fontenot. No roster spot can afford to be overlooked, and that could mean the end for Chris Blair in Atlanta.
