Atlanta Falcons fans received huge news on Tuesday morning about their 2025 schedule. It was announced that the team would be one of several teams playing in an international game for the 2025 season.

The Falcons are slated to play the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Olympic Stadium in Berlin on NFL Network. This is a huge honor for the Falcons organization as it will be the first NFL regular season game in Berlin, Germany.

Falcons president Greg Beadles issued a statement expressing his excitement about his team getting picked for this outstanding honor.

"We are definitely excited and proud to take part in the first-ever NFL regular-season game in Berlin, and look forward to seeing Atlanta Falcons fans from Germany, and across the globe, in November. Long before taking part in the NFL's Global Markets Program, we saw and felt the passion for the Falcons from our dedicated German fans, including a number who have made trips to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and to our games across the U.S. and our previous international games. We look forward to experiencing the German culture and the fandom that has made Germany an important part of the NFL's growth and future."

This isn’t the Falcons' first time playing overseas as they’ve played in London in 2014, 2021, and 2023. In their most recent international matchup, Atlanta lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 23-7, at Wembley Stadium.

Falcons fans will hope for a much better outcome this time, as this Atlanta squad has a ton of young talent on both sides of the ball.

Second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will be the full-time starter, which should be exciting based on what he showed during the last few weeks of his rookie season. And not to mention, the Falcons took Jalon Walker and James Pearce Jr. in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, who will hopefully re-ignite Atlanta’s defense.

It’s a good time to be a Falcons fan, and the team hopes to make their trip to Berlin in November one to remember.
